Audio disruption via PCM driver use-after-free
Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Use-after-free in the audio PCM driver of Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0.0 and EMUI 12.0.0 allows attackers to disrupt audio operation. The driver accesses memory after its owning object has been freed; Huawei has not disclosed the object, code path, or triggering input. Trigger conditions and attacker privileges remain undisclosed, and the only vendor-reported consequence is abnormal audio behavior.
