Out-of-bounds read in Linux kernel ntfs3 before 6.2 allows local users to disclose kernel memory or crash the system via a crafted NTFS image. The ntfs_read_ea function accepts inconsistent EA_FULL size, name-length, and value-length fields from disk, which ntfs_set_ea then uses while processing extended-attribute records. The path requires local access that causes the kernel to process a malformed NTFS filesystem; consequences are limited to kernel-memory disclosure or a system crash.
