Unauthenticated file disclosure via download path traversal
Published May 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025
Path traversal in 3CX before 18.0.2.315 on Windows allows remote attackers to read server files through the /Electron/download endpoint. The endpoint accepts crafted path components without confining the resolved path to its intended directory, exposing files readable by the service. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exposed data can include credentials, backups, call recordings, and chat logs.
