CVE-2022-48472Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unfiltered command input

Published Jun 16, 2023 · Updated Dec 17, 2024

System command injection in Huawei BiSheng-WNM firmware allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted network input. The firmware fails to filter special characters in externally supplied input before passing it to a system command, although Huawei does not identify the affected interface or code locus. Network access to the printer is sufficient and authentication is not required; successful exploitation executes code with the firmware's privileges.
