Local device crash via missing bounds check
Published Nov 1, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in the UNISOC sensor driver on Android 11 through 13 allows local users with System privileges to crash the device. The driver writes beyond an intended buffer because it processes input without the required bounds check. Exploitation requires local System-level execution, and the reported consequence is service interruption rather than data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
