CVE-2022-48453

Local service interruption via unchecked camera input

Published Sep 4, 2023 · Updated Sep 30, 2024

Out-of-bounds write in the UNISOC SC7731E camera driver on Android 11 through 13 allows local users to interrupt device service. The kernel camera driver writes beyond an intended buffer because it fails to check an input bound; UNISOC has not disclosed the affected function. A local low-privileged context is required, and exploitation can corrupt driver memory and disrupt availability without reported code execution.
