CVE-2022-48433Network attack vector

NTLM hash disclosure via built-in web server

Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Credential disclosure in JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA before 2023.1 allows remote attackers to obtain a user's NTLM hash via its web server. An API method in the built-in web server exposes the credential hash, but JetBrains has not published the method name or the unsafe operation. Exploitation affects Windows and requires user interaction; the reported consequence is NTLM credential-hash disclosure, not data modification or service interruption.
