CVE-2022-48430

File disclosure via Markdown stylesheet path

Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Information disclosure in JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA before 2023.1 allows attackers to read file content through the Markdown preview. The preview accepts an external stylesheet path without restricting its access to file content, exposing that content when crafted Markdown is previewed. A user must preview the attacker-controlled Markdown; the documented consequence is limited to disclosure of file content.
