Local modem denial of service via stack overflow
Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025
Stack overflow in the Unisoc modem control device on affected Android 10 chipsets allows local users to interrupt modem service. The modem control device writes beyond a stack buffer because it fails to check an input boundary before copying data. Exploitation requires System execution privileges and can interrupt modem operation; no data disclosure or modification is established.
