Authenticated code execution via unvalidated upload path
Published Feb 25, 2023 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Path traversal in Zoho ManageEngine Desktop Central and Desktop Central MSP before 10.1.2137.2 allows remote authenticated users to write files. AgentLogUploadServlet.doPost builds localDirToStore from the unvalidated computerName parameter, then streams the request body to the resulting attacker-chosen path. Low-privileged access is required; a malicious archive written into the server library directory executes after a service restart, which attackers cannot directly force through this flaw.
