CVE-2022-48357Network attack vector

Kernel denial of service via double fetch

Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025

Double-fetch flaw in Huawei HarmonyOS and EMUI allows remote attackers to cause kernel denial of service through network input. The public bulletins identify a double fetch but do not disclose the affected component, the twice-read value, or how an intervening change reaches kernel failure. NVD assesses unauthenticated network reachability with no user interaction; Huawei does not state whether the denial of service hangs or crashes the kernel.
