CVE-2022-48355

Bluetooth process crash via heap out-of-bounds read

Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025

Heap out-of-bounds read in the Huawei Bluetooth module on HarmonyOS and EMUI allows remote attackers to crash the Bluetooth process. Huawei has not disclosed the affected function, attacker-controlled input, or bounds-check failure that causes the module to read beyond a heap buffer. The attack requires Bluetooth proximity but no privileges or user interaction, and the documented consequence is limited to a Bluetooth-process crash.
