CVE-2022-48342

Local agent-process tampering via default-enabled JVMTI

Published Feb 23, 2023 · Updated Mar 12, 2025

Insecure defaults in JetBrains TeamCity before 2022.10.2 allow local users to access build-agent JVM data and execution through JVMTI. Affected agents enable the Java Virtual Machine Tool Interface by default, exposing JVM inspection and control capabilities to low-privileged local code. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access to an agent host; the vendor reports limited confidentiality and integrity impact without service interruption.
