Authenticated SQL injection via unallowlisted field names
Published Feb 20, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
SQL injection in MISP before 2.4.167 allows remote authenticated users to read or modify database data via crafted search field names. The CRUD IndexFilterComponent accepts user-controlled parameter names as database query fields without allowlisting them, although it sanitizes their associated values. Low-privileged accounts can submit a crafted POST to an affected index endpoint and extract plaintext API keys or other database contents.
