Unauthenticated program execution via traversed executable path
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Path traversal in Sunlogin Sunflower Simplified 1.0.1.43315 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary programs via crafted HTTP requests. The /check handler accepts traversal segments in its cmd value, redirects the intended executable path to Windows PowerShell, and launches appended arguments. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful requests run attacker-chosen programs in the SunloginClient.exe context.
