CVE-2022-48321Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated SSRF via unencoded host name

Published Feb 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

SSRF in Checkmk 2.1.0 through 2.1.0p11 allows remote authenticated users to make the server send GET requests to local endpoints. The agent-receiver's /register_with_hostname handler passes the unencoded host_name value into host_configuration, which appends it to an internal REST API URL. Host-registration privileges and access to TCP port 8000 are required; exploitation is blind but can reach localhost-only HTTP endpoints.
