Information disclosure via unauthenticated REST API documentation
Published Feb 20, 2023 · Updated Mar 12, 2025
Missing authorization in Checkmk 2.0.0 through 2.0.0p29 and 2.1.0 through 2.1.0p13 allows remote attackers to read REST API documentation. The documentation endpoint serves automatically generated REST API pages without checking for an authenticated session, including custom user tags and comments. Network access to a Checkmk site's web interface is sufficient; exposure is limited to information rendered in those documentation pages.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.0.0 <=2.0.0p29
