Confidentiality loss via pairing-confirmation bypass
Published Apr 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Improper authentication in Huawei HarmonyOS and EMUI Bluetooth modules allows physically proximate attackers to bypass pairing confirmation. The pairing workflow completes Bluetooth authentication without obtaining the user's confirmation, defeating the intended approval gate. An attacker must be within Bluetooth range; public records report exposure of confidential information but do not identify the data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
