Unauthenticated code execution via scan command injection
Published Jan 11, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2025
OS command injection in jokob-sk Pi.Alert before 22.12.20 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via the scan parameter. The nmap_scan.php endpoint inserts the attacker-controlled value into a shell command without neutralizing command separators, allowing a semicolon to append another command. No authentication or user interaction is required, and any network client that can reach the web interface can execute commands as the web service account.
