CVE-2022-48232

Local service interruption via unchecked FM parameters

Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in UNISOC FM service on Android 10 through Android 13 allows local users to interrupt the service. The FM service fails to validate supplied parameters before writing them to a stack buffer, causing an out-of-bounds write. Local access with low privileges is required, and the published impact is limited to FM-service interruption without reported data modification.
