Local information disclosure via root-drive log files
Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Feb 14, 2025
Sensitive-information exposure in Acuant AsureID Sentinel before 5.2.149 allows local users to read installer log data. The i-Dentify and Sentinel Installer components place log files directly in the root of the C: drive rather than a protected application directory. A low-privileged local account is required, and exposed log contents can disclose sensitive application data without altering it.
