Physical intrusion detection bypass

Intrusion detection bypass in HP TamperLock-enabled desktop PCs allows physically proximate attackers to evade cover-opening detection. HP has not published the precise TamperLock component or failing operation that permits a physical attack to escape the chassis-opening sensor and audit path. Exploitation requires physical access to an affected PC, and a successful bypass prevents configured cover-opening responses and records from reliably signaling hardware intrusion.
