CVE-2022-48118Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Script execution via stored Acronym field

Published Jan 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in Jorani 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in another user's browser through the Acronym field. The application retains the Acronym form value and renders it on a later page without sufficient output neutralization when the database column permits a longer payload. Exploitation requires a payload that fits the altered column and a victim to view the affected page; script execution is confined to the victim's browser context.
