CVE-2022-48013Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via calendar event fields

Published Jan 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Stored XSS in the calendar module of OpenCATS 0.9.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user’s browser. The add-event handler stores crafted HTML or script supplied in the Description or Title field and renders it without neutralizing active content. A valid account is required to create the calendar entry, and another user must view it; successful execution can read or alter data available to that browser session.
