CVE-2022-4798Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthorized data changes via client-supplied ownership identifiers

Published Dec 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Improper authorization in Memos before 0.9.1 allows remote attackers to alter application data through crafted API requests. Multiple API request structures accept client-supplied creator, user, memo, and resource identifiers that the server trusts for ownership-scoped operations. Network access to the HTTP API is required; successful requests can create or associate records under another user's identifiers without user interaction.
