Memory corruption in DOCMGMT.DLL in Siemens Solid Edge before 2023 MP1 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted PAR, ASM, or DFT file. DOCMGMT.DLL fails to restrict memory-buffer operations adequately while parsing structural data from these file formats, corrupting process memory. A victim must open the malicious file, after which code runs with the privileges of the current Solid Edge process.
