CVE-2022-47927Public exploit

Local credential disclosure via world-readable SQLite files

Published Jan 12, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2025

Information disclosure in MediaWiki before 1.35.9, 1.36.0 through 1.38.4, and 1.39.0 allows local users to read private SQLite data. The SQLite installer creates database files with mode 0644 instead of 0600 when the selected data directory already exists with lax permissions. Local access to a shared host and an SQLite installation in such a directory exposes password hashes, session data, and other private database contents.
