Arbitrary core commands via newline header injection
Published Feb 20, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
LQL injection in Checkmk 1.6.0 through 1.6.0p30, 2.0.0 through 2.0.0p28, and 2.1.0 through 2.1.0p11 allows local users to run core commands. The Livestatus wrapper copies the force_authuser parameter into the AuthUser query header without rejecting newlines, enabling additional headers and queries. The endpoint accepts unauthenticated requests only from localhost; injected external commands can alter core state or delete files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
