Administrator-session script execution via stored log message
Published May 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in the Logs page of Jedox 2020.2.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The /ub/ccmd endpoint stores an attacker-supplied payload appended to a log message, and the Logs page renders it without safe neutralization. An authenticated account can plant the payload; execution requires an administrator to view the affected log and can expose or alter data in that browser session.
