Victim-session script execution via reflected returnUrl
Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Feb 14, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Redgate SQL Monitor 12.1.31.893 allows remote attackers to inject script or HTML through the login page. The login handler reflects the untrusted returnUrl parameter into the generated page without neutralizing browser-executable markup. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted URL, after which the payload runs in the SQL Monitor origin and can read or alter data available to that browser session.
