Remote code execution via path-traversing PHP upload
Published Jan 31, 2023 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in i-librarian 4.10 allows remote attackers to write executable PHP files via the PDF replacement interface. ajaxsupplement.php passes the unfiltered filename field, including traversal segments and a .php suffix, to move_uploaded_file after accepting content that begins with %PDF. A crafted multipart request can place attacker-controlled PHP outside the session upload directory, enabling code execution when the file is requested.
