Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode URL attribute
Published Aug 16, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024
Stored XSS in the ClickFunnels WordPress plugin 3.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via a shortcode. The clickfunnels_embed shortcode neither validates nor escapes its user-controlled url attribute before placing that value in a rendered page. Contributor-level access is sufficient to store the payload, which executes in the browser of any user who visits the injected page.
