Authenticated code execution via unfiltered plugin archive
Published Jan 19, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in PopojiCMS 2.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code through a plugin package. The backend component installer extracts an uploaded ZIP into a web-accessible component or widget directory without rejecting embedded PHP files. Administrative-backend access is required; a crafted archive can place a PHP web shell that runs with the web server's privileges.
