Arbitrary file read via unchecked download path
Published Feb 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Path traversal in gin-vue-admin before 2.5.5 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the download module. The downloadTemplate interface lacks the traversal validation applied to ExportExcel, allowing a supplied path to resolve outside the intended download directory. The route requires no privileges or user interaction, and the demonstrated consequence is file disclosure rather than modification or service interruption.
