CVE-2022-4774Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked file extension

Published May 15, 2023 · Updated Jan 24, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in Bit Apps Bit Form before 1.9 allows remote attackers to execute code through a public file-upload form. The upload handler trusts the multipart filename and stores it under an attacker-chosen extension without server-side file-type validation. A site must expose a Bit Form containing a File Upload field; a successful request places executable PHP or active HTML in the uploads directory.
