Administrative takeover via unauthenticated backup operations
Published Jan 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Authentication bypass in Yeastar N412 and N824 Configuration Panel 42.x and 45.x allows remote attackers to take over administration. The panel accepts unauthenticated requests to generate and download backups containing the administrator hash, then restores archives carrying a replacement hash. Network access to the panel is sufficient; cracking the disclosed hash permits login, while restoring an altered hash resets the administrator password.
