Administrator password weakening via client-side policy enforcement

Improper access control in COMFAST CF-WR623N firmware 2.3.0.1 allows remote attackers to set a weak administrator password. The password-change interface enforces its length policy only through client-side checks, so a modified request can set an empty, one-character, or overlong password. Reachability of the router's password-setting function is required, and the published demonstration establishes policy bypass and subsequent administrator authentication with the weak password.
