CVE-2022-4767Network attack vector

Service interruption via unbounded user-profile fields

Published Dec 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Memos before 0.9.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via oversized user-profile fields. The user creation and patch handlers accepted unbounded username, nickname, and email values, and the patch path did not call UserPatch.Validate before database processing. Reachability requires either enabled account registration or an authenticated account; public sources do not specify whether interruption manifests as a hang or crash.
