Control-panel access via reused IP authorization
Published Feb 8, 2023 · Updated Jul 23, 2025
Improper access control in Bosch B420 Ethernet Communication Module all versions allows remote attackers to access its control panel. The module authorizes requests by source IP, so an attacker on the same network inherits a valid user's authorization after that user signs in. Reachability requires adjacent network access and a prior legitimate login from the relevant IP; Bosch states that the module cannot directly access the alarm-panel bus.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
