Code execution via document-directory DLL loading
Published Aug 10, 2023 · Updated Oct 10, 2024
DLL search-order hijacking in OutSystems Service Studio 11 11.53.30 build 61739 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted OML file. When that file is opened, Service Studio searches its directory for av_libGLESv2.dll, libcef.dll, user32.dll, or d3d10warp.dll and loads a matching attacker-supplied library. User interaction and control of the OML file's directory are required, and the library runs with the current logged-in user's privileges.
