Unauthenticated administrator access via hard-coded credentials
Published Jan 3, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Hard-coded credentials in Merit LILIN AH55B04 and AH55B08 firmware through SVN#7570 allow remote attackers to gain administrator access. The firmware embeds fixed administrator credentials that the management login accepts instead of credentials unique to each device. Any network-reachable device can therefore be administered without prior authentication, enabling arbitrary system changes or a service interruption.
