CVE-2022-47617Network attack vector

System-file disclosure and modification via embedded keys

Published Jun 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 10, 2025

Hard-coded cryptographic keys in Hitron CODA-5310 all versions allow remote authenticated users to decrypt and modify system files. The gateway firmware embeds its encryption and decryption keys in program code, exposing the same secrets used to protect those files. Administrator access is required; successful use discloses or alters system files and can interrupt gateway services.
