List-column modification via missing nonce validation
Published Feb 28, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Participants Database 2.4.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify list columns via a forged request. The process_request function on the Manage List Columns page accepts state-changing input without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker to induce a logged-in administrator to submit the request, and its reported consequence is limited to participant-list configuration changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
