Credential disclosure via unauthenticated cleartext admin.xml
Published Sep 20, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
Credential exposure in Ormazabal ekor.ccp and ekor.rci firmware 601j allows local users to read all users' cleartext credentials. The web application writes every user's credentials in cleartext to admin.xml and serves that file without requiring a login. Local access to the device web interface is sufficient to recover administrator credentials and reuse them for privileged actions.
