CVE-2022-4755Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unsanitized gallery names

Published Dec 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in FlatPress Media Manager allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted gallery name. The onsubmit handler in fp-plugins/mediamanager/panels/panel.mediamanager.file.php copies mm-newgallery-name from POST data without stripping tags before storage and rendering. Access to Media Manager and a later page view are required; injected script runs in the viewer's browser and can act within that session.
