CVE-2022-47508Network attack vector

NTLM traffic exposure via IP-address polling

Published Feb 15, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

Improper authentication in SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor 2022.4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to expose NTLM traffic. The polling implementation queries monitored systems by IP address, preventing configured Kerberos authentication and causing Windows to fall back to NTLM. The issue is reachable only when Kerberos polling is configured, and its reported consequence is confidentiality loss without data alteration or service interruption.
