SYSTEM command execution via SqlFileScript deserialization
Published Feb 15, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Deserialization of untrusted data in SolarWinds Platform 2022.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. Within the SqlFileScript function, insufficient validation passes user-supplied data into unsafe deserialization, enabling code execution as SYSTEM. Exploitation requires Orion administrator access to the Web Console; published details do not identify the request parameter or serialized object.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
