CVE-2022-47485

Local service interruption via unchecked stack write

Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025

Stack overflow in the UNISOC phasecheck server on Android 10 through Android 12 allows local users to interrupt modem service. The modem-control component writes beyond a stack buffer because it fails to check input bounds, although UNISOC does not identify the affected function or field. System-level execution privileges are required, and the documented consequence is a local service interruption rather than code execution.
