Authenticated file deletion via path traversal
Published Dec 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in FlatPress before 1.3 allows remote authenticated users to delete files outside Media Manager directories. The doItemActions function accepts traversal separators in the deletefile name and joins it to a selected media path without neutralization. Access to Media Manager file-deletion actions is required, and writable files reachable through traversal can be removed.
