CVE-2022-4746Public exploitNetwork attack vector

IP-block bypass via spoofed proxy headers

Published Jan 23, 2023 · Updated Apr 2, 2025

Authentication bypass in FluentAuth before 1.0.2 allows remote attackers to evade configured IP-based blocks with spoofed HTTP headers. The plugin accepts HTTP_X_REAL_IP, HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR, HTTP_CF_CONNECTING_IP, or HTTP_CLIENT_IP ahead of PHP's REMOTE_ADDR. Exploitation requires an IP-based block to be configured; spoofing changes the address evaluated by that control but does not itself authenticate the requester.
